This fresh peach trifle is the perfect refreshing summertime recipe. Serve it at your family reunion, upcoming summer celebration, or alongside dinner on the family table. Any way you slice it, it will be a hit at your next event and will fly off the table.
What You'll Need:
6 large ripe peaches
1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice
2 (8 oz.) containers of vanilla yogurt
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 (10-inch) prepared angel food cake
Step 1: Put the peeled, sliced, and pitted peaches into a large bowl. Gently toss in the lemon juice. Remove one cup of peach mixture and put into a blender. Set the other peaches aside. Blend the peaches in the blender until they are smooth. Add the yogurt to the bowl, stir in the peach mix and lemon zest, and mix it all together.
Step 2: Cut the already prepared angel cake into squares and put them on the bottom of a glass dish. Add half of the peach slices over the top of the cake. Use half of the peach yogurt mix to cover that. Add the leftover cake squares to the top of the yogurt. Top the entire dish with peaches, leaving a few behind to garnish. Top off the entire dish with the rest of the yogurt mix. Garnish with the leftover peach slices.
Refrigerate until you are ready to serve and then enjoy it!
